56 Infantry Division Organises Eye Clinic

The troops of the 56 Infantry Division organised an eye clinic at Pandri Kethakulam School premises on 02 June 2024. The event benefited 366 visually impaired patients who underwent eye check-ups and 138 reading glasses were provided in the first stage of this community-oriented programme. Additionally, 45 patients were referred for cataract surgeries after evaluation by an eye specialist. Troops also provided refreshments to the patients screened at the medical camp.

This programme was made successful with the generous contribution of Doctor Velayudam Sarveshwaran, the Secretary of the Assistant Renaissance and Resettlement Organization and was conducted under the guidance of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and the staff of the Assistant Renaissance and Resettlement Organization participated in the programme.
