The 11 Gemunu Watch (11 GW) organized an Eye Clinic at 11 GW 'B' Company camp premises on 23 March 2024 with the aim of assisting visually impaired people in Nandimithragama area.
358 visually impaired patients were benefited undergoing eye checkups, and spectacles were provided in first stage of the programme. Furthermore, 65 patients were forwarded for cataract surgeries under the evaluation of an eye specialist doctor.
The program was launched with the generous contribution of Dr. Sarveswaran, the Secretary of Assist to Rehabilitation and Resettlement Organization and the event was conducted under the guidance of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Staff of Assist to Rehabilitation and Resettlement Organization and residents in the area participated in the programme.
