The 56 Infantry Division marked its 27th Anniversary on 17 October 2024 at its Division Headquarters under the guidance of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC).
The celebrations commenced with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour, followed by a group photograph, a troop address and All-Ranks lunch.
During the celebrations, religious ceremonies representing Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, and Christian traditions were conducted to invoke blessings for the Division. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the 56 Infantry Division participated in the celebrations.
