A total of 118 Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Staffers serving all under command Brigades of the 56 Division Headquarters at Kokeliya - Vavuniya on account of the 56 Division's forthcoming 23rd anniversary volunteered to give blood for the benefit of patients under treatment at Vavuniya District Hospital on Thursday (10).
Organized under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Major General Wasantha de Abrew, the project was led by Dr Chathurani Dissanayaka and her staff.
