To commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the 56 Division, the Division Headquarter organized a series of events on the directions of Major General Wasantha De Abrew, GOC 56 Division and final matches of Football, Cricket and Volleyball among the teams of Divisions, Brigades and Under Command Battalions were held on 25 September 2020 at the 56 Division play ground in Kokeliya.
All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, All Officers and Other Ranks under command to the 56 Division contributed to the success of the tournament in every aspect. Major General Wasantha De Abrew, General Officer Commanding 56 Division graced the final awarding ceremony as the chief guest.
Following teams became Champions and the Runners-up in each competition. Medals and Certificates to the achievers were distributed by the Brigade Commanders who have organized each game respectively and the trophies and mementoes were given away by the General Officer Commanding 56 Division.
