552 Brigade Offers Ice Cream Coinciding with Vesak Festival

552 Infantry Brigade arranged an ice cream dansela(free giveaway) at the Poonaryn Junction distributing 3,000 servings of ice cream to local civilians on 23 May 2024.

In the morning Bodhi Pooja ceremony was conducted with the intention of invoking blessings for the troops. A group of philanthropists sponsored for the event under the coordination of the Civil Affairs Officer of the Brigade.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardena RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division and under supervision of Colonel C.D Welagedara USP IG, Commander of the 552 Infantry Brigade.
