A special dengue prevention campaign was conducted by the 551 Infantry Brigade in Kilinochchi town on 08 October 2024. The initiative was carried out under the direction of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), and Colonel T.B.M.R Kandekumbura RSP USP, the acting Commander of the 551 Infantry Brigade.
The campaign focused on cleaning the A9 road from Kilinochchi Hospital to Karadipokku Junction and Kanagapuram Road. Senior Officers, Police personnels, government authorities, and workers from MAS garment factory, participated in the effort.
