Troops of the 55 Infantry Division arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 55 Infantry Division, Major General R.K.N.C. Jayawardene RSP ndc, on 19 November 2024 at the Division Headquarters.
In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour were accorded to the outgoing GOC. Adding memories to the day, the outgoing GOC posed for a group photograph. Later, he addressed all ranks and joined an All-Ranks tea.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil employees participated in the event.
