A gathering of 100 low-income group families in Iluppakadawai Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Anthonipuram Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Mundampiddy Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Koorai Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Kalliady Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Kovilkulam Government’s Tamil Mixed School, Aligar Muslim Vidyalaya and Joshep Vass Maha Vidyalaya in and around the general areas of Mannar were the recipients of school accessories and essentials, thanks to the generosity of Brigadier Dasantha Munasinghe, 541 Brigade Commander.
12 (V) Sri Lanka Artillery troops of the 541 Brigade in compliance with instructions given by Major General Darshana Wijesekera, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division on Tuesday (11) carried out the donation programme by visiting those schools separately along with the donor, the 541 Brigade Commander.
Principals and teachers in respective schools, Brigadier Dasantha Munasinghe, Commander, 541 Brigade, Senior Officers, Commanding Officer, 12(V) Sri Lanka Artillery and parents were associated with the distribution projects.
