As of this morning (11), a total of 538 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 68 are Sri Lankan expatriates and a foreign seafarer. The rest are locally-identified affectees. Of those persons, 304 are from Colombo, 28 from Gampaha and 38 from Kandy, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By 6.00 this morning (11), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 26,981. Meanwhile, 18,853 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (23,922) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.
Up to yesterday (10), a total of 30,612 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 22,260 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8206 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.
By this morning (11), 461 persons recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. To-date, 146 COVID-19 positive deaths have been so far reported. 2 COVID-19 deaths reported in the past 24 hours were from Colombo 10 and Weligama areas.
By this morning (11), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 46 passengers has arrived in Colombo. The flight UL 605 from Australia with 79 passengers, the flight UL 455 from Japan with 12 passengers, and the flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 40 passengers, UL 1208 from Italy with 64 passengers, the light UL 504 with 70 passengers from the United Kingdom, the flight UL 320 from Malaysia with 04 passengers and the MU 232 from China with 30 passengers are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
