Troops of the 532 Infantry Brigade of the 53 Infantry Division under command to the 1 Corps HQ with sponsorship jointly provided by the 'Yuthukama' charity organization and Mrs. Gaya Meewella, a Colombo-based donor supplied a stock of essentials to the Dehiaththakandiya 'Indrasara Home for Child Development' at the request of the 532 Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier Medanka Alwis.
The much-needed stock, delivered on 8 March included a wheelchair, mosquito nets, footwear, slippers, kitchen equipment and dry foods. The need of those items was projected to the Brigade Commander by the administration of this centre for child development.
Few Officers and Other Ranks of the 532 Infantry Brigade were present during the delivery of the stock.
