With the objective of educating officers and other ranks of the 53 Division, a special lecture on ‘Eco-Friendly Farming’ was held at the Divisional Headquarters premises on Monday (28).
Environmentalist Thilak Kandegama, Director General, Eco Friendly Framing Training Centre conducted the lecture where several aspects on eco friendly farming and agriculture techniques were discussed during the lecture.
53 Division has already stepped into the field of eco-friendly farming in the past few years by initiating herbal, spices and red sandalwood gardens. Also, 750 fruit plants have already been planted in the Divisional Headquarters premises.
