53 Division troops of the 1 Corps staged a ‘Poson’ festival zone in Dambulla city on 03 and 04 June under the guidance of Major General P.G.P.S Rathnayake RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division. It was inaugurated in the presence of Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, State Minister of Defence and distinguished gathering.
The Dambulla Poson festival zone was comprised of colourful ‘Poson’ lanterns and free eateries (Dansel) attracting sight-seers in the area. Senior Officers, the officials of the Divisional Secretariat of Dambulla, Government Officials, Officers and Other Ranks of the Army were present at the occasion.
