Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc formally handed over the duties of the General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division at the Division’s Headquarters on 09th January 2025.
In line with military traditions, the outgoing General Officer Commanding was given a Guard Turnout upon his arrival, followed by the Guard of Honour from the Division’s troops. The official handover of responsibilities took place when Outgoing GOC signed the official document in his office, marking the conclusion of his tenure.
During his address to the troops, he expressed his deep appreciation for their unwavering support throughout his tenure in command. As a symbol of gratitude, the 52 Infantry Division troops presented him with a memento in recognition of his leadership.
Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, and All Ranks within the Division were attended the event.
