5,136 Persons are Still in Quarantine - NOCPCO

Two more individuals upon completion of the quarantine process at Punani Quarantine Centre will leave for their homes today (9) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this morning (9) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

By today (9), a total of 12,419 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 5,136 persons are still in quarantine in 43 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By this morning (9), 22 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported. Of them, there were 08 from Kuwait, 4 from India and 10 heroic Sailors, the statement ended.
