Troops of the 511 Infantry Brigade of the 51 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters- Jaffna (SFHQ-J) vested one more newly-renovated home in the deserving family of Mr. Mr Arumugam Chandra Sekram in Keeramalai, Kolankalatti Grama Niladhari Division in Jaffna district on Tuesday (7 March) on the eve of the International Women's Day.
The philanthropist, Mr. Vish Nadarajh provided the financial contribution to the project at the request of the SFHQ-Jaffna. 511 Infantry Brigade troops lent their technical, engineering, manpower and engineering expertise for total repairs and re-erection of it.
Major General Swarna Bothota, Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna as the Chief Guest, cut a ribbon and delivered the keys to the beneficiaries.
The General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Major General Vajira Welagedra, and Commander 511 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Jude Fernando stood behind the success of the project.
The Commanding Officer of 9 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) closely monitored the project and troops of 9 (V) SLLI provided the manpower for this project as per directions of Brigadier Jude Fernando, 511 Infantry Brigade HQ.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the house-warming ceremony.
