5 (V) Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) troops laid a cornerstone to mark the beginning of construction of a new house on 25 April 2024, for a deserving family residing in Thalgaswewa, Kanthale.
The construction process for the project will be carried out by the 5 (V) SLA troops under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division. Mr. Santhush Weeraman will provide the required monetary assistance for the project.
The GOC of 22 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the chief guest together with the donor Mr. Santhush Weeraman and Mr. Bathiya Jayakodi. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and family of the beneficiary were also present at the occasion.
