A jointly-sponsored donation of dry rations among 40 underprivileged families in Wasanthan Nagar Grama Niladari Division in Kilinochchi took place on Wednesday (15).
Troops of the 5 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) and Mr S.M. De Silva from Thalawathugoda jointly sponsored the cost of those dry rations, inclusive of rice, dhal, sprats, spices, tinned food, green gram, chickpeas, etc.
On the guidelines given by Major General Jayantha Gunarathne, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Major N.P.E.N Nerangama, 5 SLCMP Commanding Officer joined the distribution of those dry ration packs among needy villagers.
