Troops, belonging to 5 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) Regiment serving Thopur area of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ - E), organized distribution of school items for 74 students of low-income group families at Dehiwatta School and 86 Students of Venayur Central College.
Donations took place during December 8 - 9 respectively at two schools.
Similarly, with the support of Welfare Society of CMS (Pvt) Limited at Balapitiya, the same 5 SLA troops conducted a mobile medical camp for villagers of Sudeikuda, Navarathnapuram and Koonathivu in Muttur. Over 72 civilians received medical assistance during the mobile camp.
