The newly constructed swimming pool of the 5 Gemunu Watch (GW) headquarters at Warunagama, Wellawaya was opened recently during a brief ceremony.
The swimming pool, built at a cost of Rs 1 million could now be used by all ranks serving the 12 Division under the Security Force Headquarters, Central (SFHQ-C). It is to be kept available for the use of civilians too shortly.
The opening of the new pool was done by Major General L.B.R. Mark, Colonel of the Regiment, GW. Divisional Secretary, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, senior officers and other invitees from the area attended the event.
