The 46th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General N.A.J.C Dias WWV RWP RSP USP ndc, assumed duties on Friday (15) morning in a simple ceremony at the Army Headquarters.
A brief religious ceremony invoked blessings on the new appointment before Major General Dias formally signed a document to signify the acceptance of the new office as the clock struck 8.43 a.m. this morning (15).
Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General B.A Perera, Director General General Staff, Major General Kamal Gunaratne, Master General Ordnance, Major General A.K.P Wickramasinghe, Director General Supply and Transport and several senior officers attended the occasion.
