As of this morning (05), a total of 1,573 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 56 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,517 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 249 from Colombo District, 221 from Gampaha District, 183 from Kalutara District and 864 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (05), a total of 265,629 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 158,573 were reported after the New Year.
By Monday (5) morning (past 24 hours), 1,923 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 03 July, 45 deaths have been reported including 25 males and 20 females.
By Monday (5) morning, 625 persons have left 25 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (5), 6,076 persons in 77 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.
The latest GN Division that came under isolation this morning (5) was Kuda Waskaduwa (West) 710 GN Division in Kalutara (North) Police Division in Kalutara District.
By this morning (5), Dapane GN Division in Kolonna Police Division in Ratnapura District was completely released from isolation.
