4 SLAMC Troops Donate Blood to Jaffna Patients

4 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC), based in Jaffna commemorated its 16th Anniversary on 24 November 2023 by arranging a blood donation campaign at the unit premises.

It was organized under the guidance of the SLAMC Colonel Commandant, Major General P.A.C Fernando USP and Dr (Mrs) Nilmini Fernando, Chairperson, SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch and Consultant Transfusion Physician at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.

128 Army personnel of the 4 SLAMC donated blood for the benefit of patients at Jaffna Teaching Hospital during the project.

This community-oriented programme was arranged and coordinated by Brigadier K.J.N.M.P.K Nawaratne RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna and Major P.L.A.A Lekamge, Commanding Officer, 4 SLAMC.
