39 Deaths Reported on Saturday (26) - NOCPCO

As of this morning (28), a total of 1,867 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 100 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1767 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 378 from Kalutara District, 344 from Gampaha District, 271 from Colombo District and 774 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (28), a total of 253,617 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 147,182 were reported after the New Year.

By Monday (28) morning (past 24 hours), 2,158 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 39 deaths have been reported including 27 males and 12 females on 26 June 2021.

By Monday (28) morning, 435 persons have left 18 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (28), 8,294 persons in 73 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (28) at the time this communiqué was released, 9 Police Divisions and 356 GN Divisions have been released from the isolation and 66 GN Divisions are still under isolation.
