360 Passengers from Three Flights to be Sent to QCs-NOCPCO

The Flight No UL -1026 from Chennai with 53 passengers, Flight No 6E-9091 from Mumbai with 16 passengers and a Flight from Dubai with 291 passengers, all together 360 passengers will arrive in Sri Lanka today (17). All of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres (QCs) managed by tri services for necessary quarantine process, a statement issued this morning (17) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

Only two individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Blue water Hotel will leave for their homes today (17) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates. By Wednesday (17), a total of 14,391 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes. As of now, 4,126 persons are in quarantine in 40 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By this morning (0600 am), 10 more new COVID-19 positive cases were reported. Of them, four were Iranians and 06 among heroic sailors. Similarly, 29 personnel, 06 overseas-based Sri Lankans and 23 heroic sailors after recovery left hospitals today (17), the statement ended.
