34 More Fully Recovered Sailors Discharged From Hospitals - NOCPCO

A total of 173 individuals upon completion of the quarantine process at Club Dolphin (5), Rantambe (49), Faculty of Technology, University of Colombo, Pitipana (110) and Nipuna Bossa (9) Quarantine Centres leave for their homes after the conduct of PCR tests today (8) with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this evening (8) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

By today (8), a total of 12,408 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 5,109 persons are still in quarantine in 43 island-wide QCs, run by tri-services.

By this evening (8) 34 heroic sailors were discharged from hospitals after full recovery. During last 24 hours, 7 heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19.with that heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 854 in total. Of them, 522 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 332 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
