As of this morning (3), a total of 3,306 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them were locally identified positive cases, including the majority 1004 from Gampaha District, 501 from Colombo District, 251 from Badulla District and 1,550 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (3), a total of 192,546 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 95,270 were reported after the New Year.
By Thursday (3) morning (past 24 hours), 1,504 recovered patients have left care centers. No death has been reported in the past 24 hours.
By Thursday (3) morning, 551 persons have left 17 QCs. As of this morning (3), 3,950 persons in 52 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.
By this morning (3) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remains unchanged and movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
