11 Sri Lanka Artillery troops of the 54 Division of the SFHQ-Wanni serving at the Tharapuram Road Block on Sunday (22) on intelligence apprehended a vehicle and a suspect carrying a stock of 330 kg of smuggled turmeric on the pretext that it was transporting Prima wheat flour from Pesalai to Uppukulam.
Intelligence troops in the security group of the 54 Division HQ detected the stock, worth about Rs 1.2 million. Both the suspect and the vehicle were handed over to the Police for onward action and investigations.bridge media | Sneakers
