The 32nd commemoration of Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa was held on 08 August 2024 at the General’s statue in Anuradhapura.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Major General S.W.M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Commander of the Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC).
The day's programme included religious observances, a vigil mounting, a two-minute silence, reading of the commemoration note, wreath-laying, and the sounding of the last post and reveille. Mrs. Lali Kobbekaduwa together with family members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the event.
