3 Armoured Regiment commemorated its 36th anniversary on 16 November 2024, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel U.K.K.W.M.R.A.W.I.A.B. Kulathunga psc.
The anniversary celebrations began with a Bodhi Pooja at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura, followed by a War Heroes commemoration ceremony at the War Heroes Monument.
On the anniversary day, the Commanding Officer was honoured in a Guard Turnout, and a Battalion Parade was held. The Commanding Officer then posed for a group photograph, planted a sapling, and attended the all-ranks get-together. The commemorations concluded with a lunch.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
