2,961 More Positive Cases Reported - NOCPCO

As of this morning (9), a total of 2,961 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 5 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,956 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 852 from Colombo District, 320 from Kalutara District, 319 from Gampaha District and 1,465 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (9), a total of 329,998 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 219,214 were reported after the New Year.

By Monday (9) morning (past 24 hours), 2,563 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 07August, 94 more deaths have been reported including 69 males and 25 females.

As of Monday (9), 4,148 persons in 64 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Monday (9) morning, 478 persons have left 19 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
