291 more individuals from Singapore were flown to Sri Lanka last evening (02) by Sri Lankan flight UL 303. They all were taken to Army-managed Quarantine Centres (QCs) for quarantine process, a statement issued by Military Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe this morning (03) on behalf of the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
By today (03), a total of 11,669 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QC have left for their homes.
As of now, 5,243 persons are still in quarantine in 40 island-wide QCs, run by tri services. By the end of yesterday (2) 40 COVID 19 positive cases reported.
By today (03), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stands at 763 in total. In the past 24 hours, 07 more sailors were confirmed positive to COVID-19 infection of them, 418 after full recover and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals.
