2450 More New Cases Identified - NOCPCO

As of this morning (4), a total of 2,450 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 27 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,423 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 311 from Matale District, 293 from Colombo District, 223 from Kalutara District and 1,596 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (4), a total of 316,218 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 205,981 were reported after the New Year.

By Wednesday (4) morning (past 24 hours), 1,902 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 02 August, 74 more deaths have been reported including 48 males and 26 females.

As of Wednesday (4) 4,171 persons in 65 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Wednesday (4) morning, 967 persons have left 22 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
