241 Infantry Brigade Commander Saluted on 10th Anniversary Day

Akkaraipattu-based 241 Infantry Brigade troops commemorated their 10th anniversary on Wednesday (29 November 2023) giving pride of place to the military formalities.

A Guard Turnout and a parade, held by 241 Infantry Brigade troops saluted the Brigade Commander, Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathirathna RSP USP on arrival at the camp compound as part of the day’s ceremony. Afterwards, he addressed the troops and planted a sapling in the Brigade premises as a symbol of memory. He also joined a group photograph with All Ranks.

During the event, the recently-completed main entrance of the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ mess, along with the holiday bungalow for Officers and Other Ranks, was formally unveiled and inaugurated by the 241 Infantry Brigade Commander. These constructions were completed by Corps of Engineer Services Regiment troops of the 24 Infantry Division and the 241 Infantry Brigade troops.
