24 Infantry Division Joins Hands with Old Anandians to Help Students in Aranthalawa

Troops of the 24 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ- East with the donor's support organized a distribution of school accessories among 161 deserving students in Aranthalawa Nuwaragalathenna School, Ampara on 31 July at the school premises.

The 95-group of the Colombo Ananda College provided sponsorship for purchase of those essentials and each gift pack was worth nearly Rs.15,000/=. Every pack included school books, bags, shoes, pencils, pen, etc. On the same day, the sponsors gifted the school library with a set of library books and special gift packs to school teachers by the donors.

General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc attended the occasion as the Chief Guest and thanked the donors for the gesture of goodwill, launched at the request of the Army.

Colonel Admin and Quartering of 24 Infantry Division, Colonel O.N Manage RSP, Commanding Officer of 16 Sri Lanka National Guard, Major K.R.M Alawaththa and members of old Anandiyans 95 group headed by Mr. Ishan Perera participated in the event.
