The General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division, Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP conducted a coordinating conference with the officials of District Disaster Management Coordinating Units in Ampara and Batticaloa districts on 03 June 2024 at the 24 Infantry Division.
Officials engaged in discussion on possible disaster situation affecting the area, such as floods, droughts, tsunami, human-wild elephant conflicts and wildfires. The aim of this conference is to formulate disaster response plan and mechanism to face on previously mentioned disaster situations in the future.
Senior Officers, Officers and officials of District Disaster Management Coordinating Units in Ampara and Batticaloa districts participated in the meeting.
