24 Infantry Division Celebrates its 11th Anniversary

The 24 Infantry Division recently celebrated its 11th Anniversary under the guidance of Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24 Infantry Division, on 26 October 2024.

The celebrations began with a Bodhi Pujawa, followed by an alms-giving ceremony for eleven monks. A Kovil Pujawa was held at the Vilavadi Vinayagar Kovil in Malwatha, and a service at St. Ignatius Church in Amparawa.

The festivities continued with an Inter-Branch Cricket Tournament at the division's Headquarters on 12 November 2024. The celebrations concluded on 20 November 2024 with an alms-giving ceremony for the Elders' Home in Ampara.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the anniversary celebrations.
