24 Division Troops Hang Banners to Educate the Public on COVID-19

In the wake of the rapid spread of COVID-19 virus in Ampara district, 24 Division HQ launched a public awareness campaign by displaying educative banners about dangers of COVID-19 infection, preventive measures and health guidelines that should be strictly adopted and so on.

The campaign covered major towns in the Ampara district. It was organized following discussions held between the General Officer Commanding 24 Division, Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and the Commander 241 Brigade, Colonel Chandra Abeykoon in consultation with religious leaders of all faiths and social activists in this regard.
