24 Division HQ organized an awareness programme on 12.08.2021 on health guidelines for control of COVID-19 as the epidemic is rapidly spreading in the Ampara district in the Jumma Grand Mosque premises in Kalmunai in order to educate the people.
General Officer Commanding 24 Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa, Commander 241 Brigade, Colonel Chandra Abeykoon, Army Officers, members of Ampara Mosque Federation and health authorities participated in the event.
Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander, Security Forces –East gave necessary instructions to conduct the programme.
