232 Brigade Supports Schools in the Area

232 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with the “Roshan Mahanama Trust” organized a project to erect a toilet complex for kids at Punnakudah Nagenahiru Pre School and vested in them during a simple ceremony on 04 May 2024.

The “Roshan Mahanama Trust” provided the required financial grant of Rs. 275,000.00 with the coordination of Major General M.K.D Perera (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and 4 Gemunu Watch troops provided much needed manpower and technical assistance for the construction project. During the same event, a stock of playground equipment was also donated for the students.

At the same time, a stock of furniture worth of Rs. 800000.00 was handed over to students of Kalkuda Sri Seelalankara Sinhala Vidyalaya. The Commander, Security Forces – East and the General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division provided necessary guidelines for the project.

Major General M.K.D Perera (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Brigadier R.P.S Prasad RWP RSP USP, Commander 232 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers, former Sri Lankan National cricketers, Mr. Roshan Mahanama, Mr.Chaminda Vass and Mr.Romesh Kaluwitharana also took part in the occasion.
