231 Infantry Brigade Troops Provide Essentials to Batticaloa's Home for Children with Special Needs

On an initiative of the 231 Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Kallady, Batticaloa, troops with sponsorship provided by one Colombo-based philanthropist, Mrs Mihiri De Silva gave away gift packs of essentials and a delicious lunch to children with special needs, resident at 'Ozanam’ Children's Orphanage in Batticaloa on Thursday (1).

The coordination and guidelines of Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Brigade Commander of the 231 Infantry Brigade enabled him to receive this patronage in collaboration with the donor. After distribution of gift packs to all children with special needs, troops provided a sumptuous lunch to all of them as part of the 231 Infantry Brigade's community-oriented projects.

Representatives of the donor, Brigade Commander, Civil Affairs Officer, Officers and the Other Ranks of the 231 Infantry Brigade joined the arrangement.
