Needy families in Muneikadu South at Kokkadicholai, Batticaloa district on Friday (11) received dry ration packs and lunch packs, each dry ration packet, worth of Rs. 2500/= after arrangements to this effect were launched by Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarchchi, Commander 231 Brigade of the 23 Division under the SFHQ-East.
The programme was carried out to facilitate low-income families undergoing hardships due to prevailing COVID -19 pandemic situation in the area.
Commander 231 Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, Civil Affairs Officer 231 Brigade, Commanding Officer, Officers and Other Ranks of 11 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment joined the programme after visiting doorsteps of all those recipients.
