231 Brigade Initiates Supply of Dry Rations to Remote Temples

Troops of the 231 Brigade under the guidance of 231 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi taking their own initiative supplied a large quantity of dry rations and vegetables to temples and sacred places in remote areas of the Batticaloa district on Thursday (3).

Pulinathalaramaya Temple at Eravur and Punnakuda Punnaramaya Temple at Eravur gave the leadership and guidance to the project at the request of the 231 Brigade Commander, SF Commander - East and the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division gave their blessings for the project.

Commander 231 Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, Civil Affairs Officer (CAO), 231 Brigade and CAO of the 23 Division joined the distribution programme.
