23 SLSR's Presentation Enhances Knowledge of Officers on 'Counter Violence Extremism'

In accordance with directives given by the Commander of the Army for improvement of professional competence of Officers and All Ranks serving island-wide, the 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) of the 24 Division in Pottuvil under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) staged a professional presentation, themed 'Role of Armed Forces in Counter Violence Extremism' for the benefit of Officers serving areas under the 24 Division.

More than 40 officers assembled at the 23 SLSR Headquarters and listened to the lecture, followed by practical demonstrations. On behalf of the General Officer Commanding, 24 Division, the 241 Brigade Commander, Colonel W. Chandrasiri attended the sessions and witnessed the presentation.

Towards the end of the programme, an interactive question - answer session got underway with the view to further enhancing their knowledge on the subject.
