The 23 Infantry Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) marked its 22nd anniversary on Tuesday (23) with a series of commemorative events organized during 20-23 July.
Major General Kapila Udalupola, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 23 Infantry Division gave the guidance and they included several events.
A Kapruka Pooja and a Bodhi Pooja Pinkama were organized at the Somawathiya Temple premises on Saturday (20) and the formal honours, a Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour were awarded to the GOC Tuesday (23).
They also provided a sumptuous lunch to the children at Thilakavathi Girls' Orphanage at Kathiraveli
