The finals of the Elle Championship of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) was held at the 5 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps playground on 15 April 2018.
A total of 45 teams competed in the tournament which was organized by the 512 Brigade. The 5 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and the 23 Gemunu Watch (GW) qualified for the finals and 23 Gemunu Watch team won the Championship.
The tournament was organized under the directions of the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Dharshana Hettiarrachchi to improve sportsmanship of soldiers and to develop cohesion among them.
Major General Roshan Senevirathne, General Officer Commanding, 51 Division graced the finals as the Chief Guest and awarded trophies and certificates to the winning teams at the awarding ceremony.
General Officer Commanding, 55 Division. Brigadier Jayantha Gunaratne, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and a number of Army personnel witnessed the finals.
