23 GR Troops Give Their Blood to Hambantota Hospital Emergencies

In the wake of present circumstances where the spread and control of the pandemic COVID - 19 has been prioritized over all other critical issues, 23 Gajaba Regiment troops serving Yala area under the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) donated blood to the Blood Bank of the Hambantota Hospital on Thursday (16).

The arrangement was aimed to provide necessary blood categories for any urgent requirement in the event of any emergency. More than 40 Army personnel including Officers volunteered to donate their blood for use of patients.

Organized on the instructions of the Lieutenant-General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, the third donation round will be conducted on 21 April by 3 Sri Lanka National Guard troops, deployed in Kataragama.buy shoes | Nike
