23 Div Troops Make Ruhunuketha Primary School Students Happy

80 children learning at Ruhunuketha Primary School in Welikanda had a day of entertainment following arrangements, made by the 23 Division Headquarters at Punani.

To coincide with the International Children’s Day (October 1), the 23 Division Headquarters on the instructions of Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, took those students to soothing Sallathivu beachfront in the eastern coast and made them to enjoy the day amid music provided by the Army Calypso team.

Troops provided snacks, lunch and tea to all participants free of charge and helped them in many ways to make the day a memorable one. Parents and several teachers also joined the students on the trip.
