23 Div Troops Learn ‘Importance of Water’

Troops of the 23 Division conducted a series of awareness programmes on ‘Management of Water’ with lecture assistance provided from the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (Eastern Province) at the 23 Division Headquarters premises on Monday (4) headed by Major General D. D. U. K Hettiarachchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 23 Division.

The programme series were conducted under the theme ‘Water is a precious and one of the natural resources required to sustain all lives on the planet, making it already the most important commodity on Earth’. 

To coincided with the awareness programme, a street drama was conducted too.
Major General D. D. U. K Hettiarachchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 23 Division, Mr U. Rathnapala, Deputy General Manager, Water Supply and Drainage Board (Eastern Province), Officers and Other Ranks also attended the event.
