22nd Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment Completes Battalion Training at 1 Corps Training School

The 22nd Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) successfully completed their Battalion Training Course at the 1 Corps Training School in Katukeliyawa from 14 October to 04 December 2024.

Major General K.H.M.S Wickramarathne RSP, General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered closing remarks. The event concluded with the presentation of awards and trophies to outstanding performers.

The course, attended by 12 Officers and 330 Other Ranks, recognised the following achievements:

• Best Student: Second Lieutenant L.P.N Maduranga

• Best Shooter: Captain K.S.S.S Kahadage

• Best in Physical Fitness: Infantryman D.D.N Prabath

• Best Company: A Company

• Best Platoon: 1st Platoon of A Company

• Best Section: 1st Section of 2nd Platoon of A Company
